Our client was launching a new copayment card offering for Commercially-insured patients – the question for Medicus was: “How much will this new program cost over the next 5 years?”
The Medicus team developed a model to estimate our client’s commitment to the copayment card program over the next five years. We coordinated with members of our client’s market access, commercial analytics, and patient support program team to identify key data for the model and align on expectations for program utilization.
Finally, Medicus conducted a targeted literature review to fill gaps in the model based on published literature and informed assumptions.
Results from our model allowed our client to understand funding needs for the copayment card program, as well as key program choices that might change funding needs. Equipped with the modeling tool, our client was able to provide a data-driven request and successfully secure funding for the new program.
We helped our client better estimate financing needs for their copayment card program over time, including under different market scenarios.
